Benny Larkins was chosen for Car of the Month at our last General Meeting and we decided to feature two of his cars.  The 1934 Chevy Sedan and the 1972 Oldsmobile 442.

Benny and his wife Vinice (by the way Happy Anniversary) acquired the 34' Chevy Sedan about 10 years ago.  This car was in great condition when they got it and still is today.
They found the car in Comus Maryland through a friend and haven't had to do much to it since then.  Benny tore the motor down so that he could put a new gear drive in it, has replaced the oil pan and a few other thing.
The Chevy is a customized Chop Top with a small block Chevy Turbo 400.
Benny has gotten some ribbing from some of the Club Members for not bring it out more often, but I can't say that I blame him- having a car that age in such beautiful shape you might want to keep it safe and sound home in the garage.

Benny just purchased the 1972 442 Oldsmobile about 2 months ago and is only the 3rd owner of this beautiful car.  The 442 has 114,000 miles on it but had the motor and transmission rebuilt about 8,900 miles ago.  She has the W-25 Option and the W-27 Rear-End Cover.  She came from the dealer fully loaded with A/C, power steering, brakes and locks.  What really attracted Benny to this car was that she is still all-original with matching numbers and she still has the original window sticker.
Benny and Vinice do take the 442' out quite a bit.  If you want to see it up close come on out to Cetrone's on a Thursday evening many times you can find them there!
